Akdeniz Evleri
Akdeniz Evleri is a large group of detached, privately owned holiday villas. Akdeniz is located between 200m high hills and the banks of the Dalaman river, 5 minutes drive from the small holiday resort of Sarıgerme and 20 minutes drive from Dalaman International Airport.
Akdeniz has been designed with swimming pools, cafe bar and small shop at the centre. Well maintained gardens and palm tree lined paths fan outwards from the central pool area.
The site is car free; all cars must stop at the car park in front of the security office which is manned 24x7. There are trolleys located here for transporting your luggage to the villa.

Facilities within the complex include: -
A large swimming pool and shallow children's pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. Both pools are filled and maintained from May to October inclusive.

Essential food and drinks are available from the on-site shop. Serious self caterers will need to look further afield for fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry and specialist food. Either visit one of the local towns on market days or one of the local supermarkets. If you haven't got transport a minibus usually runs once a week to the market/supermarket in either Ortaca or Dalaman, ask at the main gate for more information. Also on certain days of the week fresh fruit, fish, meat and bread are sold from at the front gate - findout when by asking at the main gate.

During the season (beginning of May to the end of October) there is a free taxi-boat from the Akdeniz Evleri jetty along the river to a private beach. This takes about 10 minutes. This end of the beach is very peaceful and there are currently no food or drink facilities, just a few sun loungers, parasols and a shower, so be sure to take with you everything that you need! Please note, however, that this beach shelves very steeply and can be quite choppy when windy, so it is not recommended for very young children or non-swimmers.
The timetable for the boat is on a notice board in the shaded seated area opposite the security office.

A superb Blue Flag beach is reached by going through Sarıgerme and parking in the carpark. Alternatively walk along the beach from being dropped off by the free boat. It is perfect for all, including young children, as it shelves very gently and the shallow water is (usually!) lovely and warm. There are changing rooms, showers, toilets, a cafe and plenty of sun loungers and parasols to rent. There is even a small zoo! Along the beach there are places to rent a pedalo, a banana boat or on Big Mabel, or to try windsurfing, sailing, waterskiing or diving.
In the nearby town of Sarıgerme there are shops, bars, restaurants and a market every Sunday morning.
Whilst we do recommend that you hire a car, this is not essential as taxis are relatively cheap and readily available from Akdeniz. Tourist trips to all the popular locations can be arranged in Sarıgerme and pick-ups/drop-offs at Akdeniz are provided. Some local restaurants also provide a pick-up/drop-off service.
Akdeniz is close to several international hotels (e.g. Hilton, Pegasus) where, for a fee, you can use their facilities.
There is also a Thermal Mud Bath called Kükürt (Sulphur) Blue Thermal just over 2km away (roughly 1 hour walking slowly). This is thoroughly recommended, great fun and is very good for your skin - or so we're told!
